Free Helpful Advice – Computer Programming Language

The digital world constantly changes. New technologies are introduced and new developments in the industry are being made known to the public. There will always be changes in technology. And technology will constantly improve to help create a better world.

Computer Programming Language Evolution
And one of the primary movers of technology and the digital world is a computer programming language. This is the language spoken and understood by the computer. The computer language is machine language. Basically, what the computer can understand and process are just a bunch of one’s and zero’s. It is really upon the expertise of the programmer to create special software that could be understood by the computer and the human user.

Computer Programming Course
Computer programming software follows a certain language that computers follow. Examples of these languages are the Assembly language, C++, FoxPro, Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro and several others. These types of software can mediate between the computer and the programmer. All the programmer has to do is to input the commands he would like the computer to do. He’ll write the commands in the syntax that the computer programming language understands. The commands are then processed and converted into the machine language the computer processor understands. This is how the many applications and programs downloadable from the internet are created. Read the rest of this entry »

The world’s first 21:9 Cinemascope LCD TV

The first 21:9 cinemascope lcd tv in the world

Philips premieres the ultimate home cinematic viewing experience with the Cinema 21:9 LCD TV

Philips breaks new ground in the realm of home entertainment with the world’s first cinema-proportioned LCD television. Cinema 21:9 lets you enjoy movies as you would in the cinema and just as the director intended. Cinema 21:9 boasts a 56” screen that is shaped in the 21:9 aspect ratio, so movies in the 2.39:1 format completely fill the screen – exactly as you experience at the cinema. Complimentary three-sided Ambilight Spectra combines with the on-screen action to completely immerse you in the movie and deliver the ultimate home cinematic viewing experience.

Traditional LCD televisions compromise on this experience by distorting the picture to fill the screen – losing the full scope of the original shot – or by displaying the picture in letterbox format with black bars at the top and bottom. Cinema 21:9 solves these issues to give the viewer an uncompromised and absorbing cinematic viewing experience, never before available in the home. Read the rest of this entry »

Can Lasers Hurt You?

can laser hurt your eyes

Eyes: High power laser module beams do have the potential to cause serious and permanent eye injuries. An incident at a rave in Russia in mid 2008 where dozens of ravers were blinded by the in appropriate use of lasers is a tragic example. The higher the power of a laser, the more likely it is to cause injury. The official safe power limit given by the US Food and Drug Authority (FDA) is 5mW. This limit is conservative and lasers of 10mW or less will not cause eye injury.

Where high powered lasers are used and eye exposure is likely, laser eye protection are essential. These glasses are specifically designed to block different wavelengths of light so you need to make sure the glasses you are wearing will block the laser you are using. For example if you are using a green laser, you need to make sure the laser safety glasses you are using will block light with a 532nm wavelength.

Never under any circumstances use general purpose glasses such as sunglasses to protect your eyes from lasers. These glasses will provide little or no protection and in some cases may even focus the laser beam and create more damage. Read the rest of this entry »

The 8 Best And Worst Comics Of 2008

Best and worst of 2008

Whether it was heroes dying or aliens invading, 2008’s comics definitely aimed for bombast – but how many of them were actually great? As the year stumbles to an end, we take a look back.

In terms of comics, 2008 feels a bit… lacking, to be honest; there was nothing with the energy of Wonton Soup or King City, and a lot of the best books were final issues, instead of the start of something new (Collections and reprints-wise, it was a great year, however – I’d point you in the direction of Skyscrapers of the Midwest, The Babysitter and Jack Kirby’s OMAC, to begin with – but they weren’t really created this year…). It might just be a necessary lull; next year has new work from Paul Pope, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Brandon Graham, James Stokoe, et al, after all. But it did make this year seem curiously anemic in retrospect. So here is the pick, perhaps, of a poor bunch: Read the rest of this entry »

The golden era of commodore

COMMODORE 64

At the time of its introduction, the C64’s graphics and sound capabilities were rivaled only by the Atari 8-bit family. This was at a time when most IBM PCs and compatibles had text-only display adapter cards, monochrome monitors, and sound consisting of squeaks and beeps from the built-in tiny, low-quality speaker.

Due to its advanced graphics and sound, the C64 is often credited with starting the computer subculture known as the demoscene. Commodore 64 demos. The C64 lost its top position among demo coders when the 16-bit Commodore Amiga and Atari ST were released in 1985, however it still remained a very popular platform for demo coding up to the early 90s.

By the turn of the millennium, it is still being actively used as a demo machine, especially for music (its sound chip even being used in special sound cards for PCs, and the Elektron SidStation synthesizer). Unfortunately, the differences between PAL and NTSC C64s caused compatibility problems between U.S./Canadian C64s and those from most other countries. The vast majority of demos run only on PAL machines. Read the rest of this entry »

Computer Animation – To Increase Interest In Your Website

Look at some of the websites that are on the internet today. There are so many that have amazing layout designs with tasteful animation. With competition high to get and keep customers on their website, companies will no doubt continue to demand user friendly websites with a bit of “eye candy.”

Some of this is evident in the way designers create animation and animations flash, etc. They want their sites to stand out and mesmerize the “online” crowd.

computer animation
Early animations started appearing around 1910 and were normally drawings that were photographed one at a time. It was a very intensive and long process, as there were literally hundreds of drawings for each minute of film. Of course, improvements were constantly being made with Walt Disney leading the pack.

He was the first to add sound to his cartoon animations and produced the first, full-length movie animations film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Then, with the introduction of computers, animation began to take on a whole new meaning. Read the rest of this entry »

Steffen Schackinger – City Lights

Amazing guitar play by Steffen Schackinger – City Lights.

About Steffen:

A journalist tried to sum up some of the things Steffen played in the past – Here is what he wrote:

“It’s the first time the Danish guitar virtuoso – Steffen Schackinger – releases an album in his own name – Schackinger. “An instrumental album, coming from the heart of an exceptional guitar player.

Steffen Schackinger was born right in the centre of Denmark – in the capital of the island Fyn – Odense. He started out on the violin as a kid, and moved on to cello and classical piano. With the classical and electric guitar he finally found his right instrument. Read the rest of this entry »

The Simpsons mocks Apple (Mapple)

Simpsons apple is mappleNo one is safe from satire on The Simpsons. The animated series, which just began its 20th season, has lampooned just about every large company, celebrity and pretty much every aspect of pop culture. Last night’s episode featured a six minute segment that parodied Apple Inc. at the start of the show. In Episode 7 the Simpsons travel to the Springfield Mall to discover that a giant “Mapple” Store has been erected inside. The massive glass cube structure looks like a spitting image of the 5th Avenue Apple Store in New York. Lisa Simpson walks inside and notes that “it’s so sterile!” and the one-liners go from there.

The mock store is loaded with MyPods, MyPhones, a Brainiac Bar and the MyCube, a machine “fueled by dreams and powered by imagination.” The cube glows to confirm that it’s off. Its a very good natured jab at Cupertino and there’s something funny in it for just about everyone. You can watch the complete episode at Fox on Demand (with commercials), it starts at about 02:00 or download it from links under our post. Optionally the video is also on YouTube (parts 1, 2) but it’s getting slow and probably won’t be up for long.
