Mario saves the princess and after spending countless hours killing mushrooms and jumping over turtle shells what does he get in return ?

This small video clip is taken from the DVD Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy from comedy genius Seth Macfarlane, the creator of Family guy and American dad.

I often wondered what happened after Mario saved the princess, now we know

Again the Japanese are going crazy. You can only love ‘em. No one else has the guts to invent and produce such crazy items. This time it’s a piggy bank with a face. It might not sound like something new, but this one literally eats your money! It has sensor implanted in the eyes and they react as soon as an object gets close. The Face Bank / piggy bank then starts to open it’s mouth start chewing. Now this one I got to own.

Fully Flared a skateboarding movie made possible by Ty Evans, Spike Jonze and Cory Weincheque and of course Lakai.
Fully Flared was delayed two years because of the important team additions.
It took app. 4 years to make this awesome skate video.
They shot a lot of footage which resulted in a lot of extra film, the extra footage is going to be used for other skate films.
They used Sony DCR-VX1000 cameras and Panasonic HVX200 mostly to shot the movie.

The intro :

The directors was playing with other ideas, all of them would have been a lot more dangerous than the original intro. Which is already very dangerous as it is.
They didn’t shoot the intro before 3 weeks before the film was going to premiere.

Brandon Biebel said the craziest part about the intro was when Mike Capaldi did his “switch flip” down the stairs and it was exploded using napalm. They had an expert team setting up the explosion so Mike wasn’t in any danger, only in danger from falling debris.

Fully Flared

Whether it was heroes dying or aliens invading, 2008’s comics definitely aimed for bombast – but how many of them were actually great? As the year stumbles to an end, we take a look back.

In terms of comics, 2008 feels a bit… lacking, to be honest; there was nothing with the energy of Wonton Soup or King City, and a lot of the best books were final issues, instead of the start of something new (Collections and reprints-wise, it was a great year, however – I’d point you in the direction of Skyscrapers of the Midwest, The Babysitter and Jack Kirby’s OMAC, to begin with – but they weren’t really created this year…). It might just be a necessary lull; next year has new work from Paul Pope, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Brandon Graham, James Stokoe, et al, after all. But it did make this year seem curiously anemic in retrospect. So here is the pick, perhaps, of a poor bunch:

BEST

All-Star Superman
Quite simply, the best superhero comic of the last few years. Tapping into the awe-filled tone of the 1950s and ’60s Superman stories while still seeming contemporary, Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s twelve-part reinvigoration of the Man of Steel finished this year with the perfect send-off: Something positive, optimistic and just a little melancholy.

(Fraction almost ended up on this list twice; his Invincible Iron Man series for Marvel was, to my mind, the ideal follow-up to the movie, finally figuring out a way to make the character interesting without making him an asshole.)

Casanova
Matt Fraction’s sci-fi superspy series filled its second run with time-travel, sex and gigantic reality-altering weapons before, in its final issue, folding in on itself with a reveal that, at first, felt like a cheat but ultimately recast everything that had gone before and made you need to re-read it like you need to breath. If only everything was this fearless.

Fight Or Run: Shadow Of The Chopper
You can argue amongst yourself whether this silent series of strips is really science fiction or not, but Kevin Huizenga’s videogame-inspired shorts that bring two surreal characters face-to-face to see their response works both as an exercise in comic formalism and experimentation, and as a funny, surprising reading experience. Me, I’d probably run.

Love & Rockets: New Stories
Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis analogs slaughter aliens. Surely I don’t need to say anything else.

Final Crisis
Yes, there have been a lot of problems with DC’s big 2008 “event” – the seeming inability to hit deadlines and switching of artists midway through the story, to start with – but despite it all, Grant Morrison and company’s slow-motion apocalypse has been creepy and hypnotic, all the moreso for the way in which it refuses to play by the rules.

Patsy Walker: Hellcat
I don’t know if it’s the lightness of Kathryn Immonen’s writing, the pop of David LaFuente’s artwork, or just the sass of the book’s star, but there’s something wonderful and unexpected in this lowkey miniseries from Marvel about a fashion model-turned-superhero fighting magical demons in Alaska. In the middle of the publisher’s highly successful year, this hidden gem is easily the best thing they put out.

Project Superpowers
Again with the “unexpected” thing, I didn’t expect much from Alex Ross and Jim Kruger’s 1940s superhero revival… and certainly not the most strange and unusual superhero series of the year. The US government creating zombie soldiers in the Middle East? Lying ghosts with hidden agendas? An evil corporation of robots manipulating everyone that just so happens to have the same name as the parent company of the publisher? It’s all here, my friends. Just don’t ask me what it all means.

Teen Titans: Year One
It took animation writer Amy Wolfram and artist Karl Kerschl to finally fulfill the potential of DC’s team of sidekicks, by offering a story that stayed on the right side of cartoony, but kept an undercurrent of angst and insecurity to provide characters who actually acted like teenagers, for a change. Add some of the best art to appear in any comic book this year and you have a very underrated winner.

WORST

Astonishing X-Men: Ghost Boxes
A strange one, this. It’s not really the quality of the comic strip itself that lands it in “Worst” position – although the comic strip itself was nothing to write home about, pretty much generic “alternate world”isms from Warren Ellis and friends – but the format. Charging $4.99 for 16 pages of comic book would be a bit much for a small indie company with a lot of overhead and little say in the matter… but for Marvel to do it, especially without letting fans or retailers know that that’s what they were doing…? Kind of an unnecessarily low blow.

Batman RIP
It started so well, but… well, finished so badly. There’s very little way to look back at RIP without getting frustrated at the lack of resolution and all the unfulfilled potential left untouched. It’s called Batman RIP people – Couldn’t you have done something with that that didn’t have a villain who may or may not have been the Devil and the most unconvincing, inconclusive death scene ever? Or, for that matter, had a story that actually ended in its final chapter?

Countdown To Final Crisis
DC’s Final Crisis may be flawed but great, but the 52-part prelude series kind of missed out the “but great” part of that idea. As well as missing out the “coherent plots, interesting dialogue and story you feel involved in” bits. And, to make matters worse, it outright contradicted multiple points of the series it was created to lead into. Worst of all, perhaps, was the fact that it took the goodwill that DC had gained from their first weekly series 52 and pissed it away in record fashion. An own goal of almost cosmic proportions.

DC Universe: Last Will & Testament
What do superheroes do when they expect to die the next day? Exactly what you’d expect them to, sadly, according to this uninspired, ponderous comic. While not as much of a disaster as Countdown, Last Will & Testament may have actually been a worse comic by dint of just being… well, not unlike well-illustrated fan-fiction.

Jenna Jameson: Shadow Hunter
From its very conception, you knew that a comic that recreated pornstar Jameson as a comic book demon hunter was a bad idea, but only the comic itself could convince you just how much of a bad idea it actually was. Confusingly written, with overwrought narration and a plot that didn’t really go anywhere, this was a celebrity tie-in that made Ed Burns’ Dock Walloper look like a good idea.

One More Day
This is, of course, a bit of a cheat; One More Day started in 2007, and the final issue came out in the dying days of that year (December 27th, I believe)… But nonetheless, the full effect of it was what started off this year in comics, and pretty much sabotaged the start of Marvel’s (remarkably not-as-bad-as-you-think) Spider-Man relaunch – all because Peter Parker made a deal with the devil just to get a divorce (Note: This may be a somewhat biased take on what actually happened in the story itself). Who would have thought that a boneheaded, out of character move that turned your everyman character into a Satan-handshakin’ single man would have been one of the big comic news stories of the year? Oh, that’s right – everyone.

Secret Invasion
Yes, it was hugely successful, and yes, it was on-time (unlike Final Crisis). But if there was a point to Secret Invasion beyond “Let’s try and sell lots of comics,” I must have missed it. With a story that lacked plot – or, for about half the series, anything actually happening – based around a premise that was abandoned almost immediately (What if aliens had invaded without us knowi- Oh, wait, they’ve started blowing things up and coming to Earth as giant green monsters), this was slick, showy… and entirely hollow.

Ultimates 3
I was no fan of Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch’s Ultimates, but Jeph Loeb’s follow-up was a mind-blowing miscalculation that offered fans of the series almost no continuity with its previous incarnation, garish art outshone only by insanely overblown dialogue and, in a reveal that still boggles the mind, a Black Panther who turns out to be the most white of all superheroes. Pretty much an entire series of WTF that led into Loeb’s Ultimatum.

COMMODORE 64

At the time of its introduction, the C64’s graphics and sound capabilities were rivaled only by the Atari 8-bit family. This was at a time when most IBM PCs and compatibles had text-only display adapter cards, monochrome monitors, and sound consisting of squeaks and beeps from the built-in tiny, low-quality speaker.

Due to its advanced graphics and sound, the C64 is often credited with starting the computer subculture known as the demoscene. Commodore 64 demos. The C64 lost its top position among demo coders when the 16-bit Commodore Amiga and Atari ST were released in 1985, however it still remained a very popular platform for demo coding up to the early 90s.

By the turn of the millennium, it is still being actively used as a demo machine, especially for music (its sound chip even being used in special sound cards for PCs, and the Elektron SidStation synthesizer). Unfortunately, the differences between PAL and NTSC C64s caused compatibility problems between U.S./Canadian C64s and those from most other countries. The vast majority of demos run only on PAL machines.

Even though the Commodore 64 was released in 1982, it was still a strong competitor for the range of the number of games released to the Sega Master System and the Nintendo Entertainment System, despite these consoles were released three to four years later than the C64.

Here is a video with 100 Commodore 64 games shown in 10 minutes.

COMMODORE AMIGA

Amiga software covers a wide range of software for the Amiga computer, both productivity and games, both commercial and hobbyist. The Amiga software market was particularly active in the late 1980s and early 1990s but has since the period 1996/1999 dwindled into almost only a hobbyist scene.

During its lifetime, the number of applications made available for the Amiga was in excess of 2,000, with over 10,000 utilities(these utilities are almost all collected into Aminet major repository). However, it was perceived as a games machine from outside its community of experienced and professional users. In fact, there were also more than 2,000 games available for Amiga.

Some Amiga programs were ported to other platforms or inspired new programs still used today, such as those aimed at 3D rendering or audio creations, e.g. Lightwave and Blender, whose development started for the Amiga platform only. The first multimedia word processors for Amiga, such as TextCraft, Scribble!, and Wordworth, were the first on the market to allow implement full-colour WYSIWYG (with other platforms still only implementing black and white previews) and even allowing the embedding of audio files.

Programs are still being developed for AmigaOS classic and AmigaOS 4 and related operating systems, MorphOS and AROS.

Look at some of the websites that are on the internet today. There are so many that have amazing layout designs with tasteful animation. With competition high to get and keep customers on their website, companies will no doubt continue to demand user friendly websites with a bit of “eye candy.”

Some of this is evident in the way designers create animation and animations flash, etc. They want their sites to stand out and mesmerize the “online” crowd.

computer animation
Early animations started appearing around 1910 and were normally drawings that were photographed one at a time. It was a very intensive and long process, as there were literally hundreds of drawings for each minute of film. Of course, improvements were constantly being made with Walt Disney leading the pack.

He was the first to add sound to his cartoon animations and produced the first, full-length movie animations film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Then, with the introduction of computers, animation began to take on a whole new meaning.

For any type of graphic work, the quicker your computer processor is, the better. Extra memory is also a huge help with computer animations and graphics. You may also want to consider a larger hard drive.

flash animations
These types of files will build up quickly and the file size for a graphic or animated movie is much greater than that of a simple text file, for example. A computer generated vector image used to create animation can be 2D or 3D animations.

Of course, if you plan to work on a computer it is also advantageous to learn about photography, lighting and movement. You will need to visualize how the pictures animations, 2D animations or 3D animations will look and then have the know-how to make that inanimate object move.

There are many different computer animation software programs that offer both tutorials and downloadable programs. The tutorials are very important, yet each software program will likely have a different interface, different menus, palettes and toolbars etc.

cartoon animations
Depending on the type of images animations desired, some can be wholly computer generated, while others, such as many of the 2D animations cartoons, still need to be penciled by hand before scanning to a computer to generate graphics animations.

Using a computer to create animation often eliminates the need for many of the extra tools that are normally needed for the more traditional animation process. The basic tools needed to create animation by computer are a system that will be able to run the software programs you will need, and of course the ability to use the programs.

The animated series, which just began its 20th season, has lampooned just about every large company, celebrity and pretty much every aspect of pop culture. Last night’s episode featured a six minute segment that parodied Apple Inc. at the start of the show. In Episode 7 the Simpsons travel to the Springfield Mall to discover that a giant “Mapple” Store has been erected inside. The massive glass cube structure looks like a spitting image of the 5th Avenue Apple Store in New York. Lisa Simpson walks inside and notes that “it’s so sterile!” and the one-liners go from there.

The mock store is loaded with MyPods, MyPhones, a Brainiac Bar and the MyCube, a machine “fueled by dreams and powered by imagination.” The cube glows to confirm that it’s off. Its a very good natured jab at Cupertino and there’s something funny in it for just about everyone. You can watch the complete episode at Fox on Demand (with commercials), it starts at about 02:00 or download it from links under our post. Optionally the video is also on YouTube (parts 1, 2) but it’s getting slow and probably won’t be up for long.

Ok, so you’ve decided that video games are definitely too expensive to continue to buy a game just because you hope that it is what you want. You have decided that you would like to get a chance to see if it “all that” before you spend your hard earned money on it. You look for online video game rental companies that can facilitate you with this
opportunity for very little investment. But, how do you know who to choose?

Well, there are certain features of a video game rental company that you should look for when selecting who to sign-up with. One of the first features is location. Making sure that the company that you sign on with has a distribution center close to where you live so you don’t have to waste time waiting to play the games you have selected and you can have more time playing the games instead. I advise a turnaround time of no more than 6 business days. After all, most of the onlinecompanies out there are still using the United States Postal Service and do not have complete control over their delivery to your area.

The other thought is what happens if the game gets lost in the mail either to or from your location. Look for a rentalcompany that has a policy of not holding you responsible for the lost game. After all, once you have taken the time to return the game properly, it is out of your hands.

The next aspect you want to considewr is the size of the company that you are going to be dealing with. Although you may get great client care from a small to mid-sized company, you may pay for that by waiting to get the newly released games for your platform of choice for some time because they are limited to the number of copies they can stock on hand to supply the demand of their customer base. Select a company that is big enough to get you the game that you want to play on time.

Game packages and pricing are another aspect that you should investigate as well. Multi-game packages are very apealling so that you are maximizing the time that you are able to keep putting new games into the mix you are playing. A good plan is to go with a 3 game package, this way you are always able to have at least two games in your possession while a game is in transit back to your rental company and then a new selection is being sent back to you.

The major companies will offer reward programs that give you an encouragement to continue staying with them. The longer you are a member, the more rewards you rack up. Allign with a company that truly wants to maintain you as their patron by offering the bigger incentives. New games, platform accessories and new gaming systems are some of the most regular rewards that are offered.

What would the world look like without those crazy Japanese and their crazy inventions. The newest gadget is called Tuttuki Bako and is basically a video game with a somehow older graphic display then we are used too. Looks kind of like an old calculator display. Today we expect almost realistic like graphics. It seems to me that Nintendo opened up some doors with their new way of getting the gamer psychically active with the Wii system. The Tuttuki Bako is a squared box with a hole on the side where you have to insert your finger and on the front is has a display that will actually show a virtual image of your finger. Then you will interact with the Tuttuki Bako in various ways such. I’m not quite sure what the games exactly is going to be like but judging from this gametrailer ad it could look like fun. According to what I have read the machine should be available on the market mid November and be around 30$.

The so-called Tuttuki Bako, Tuttuki Box, features a display that shows a digital replica of your finger once you put it into the hole in the right side of the device and start moving. Users can then play with a panda bear or a small figure, explore a “virtual” lake and touch a girl’s face or a slime ball.
The battery-powered box, which also doubles as a clock, is sized at just 105×120×87mm.

For some years now, there have been different kinds of Playstation racing games available on the market that people can play. The variety of these Playstation games are endless, ranging from motorcycle racing, boat racing, wave-runner racing and the most popular of all- car racing games.

The reason why PS3 games is so popular, is because people can relate to this experience. Most people also drive cars more than they do motorcycles and that is also another reason why most people choose to play car racing games. You can generally visualize the whole experience, because of the realness of some of them. What’s also nice about some of these Playstation 3 games is that they allow you to drive a lot faster than you can drive in real life on the road and that’s what we all want. We want to go faster than normal. We like the rush, the excitement, living on the edge.

Some of these Playstation 3 games also have police officers that actually chase you if you dare to drive faster than the normal speed on the road signs. This way you will know exactly how it must feel like if you are being chased by a real-life officer if you try to run from the police in a high-speed chase. The benefit of these games is that they offer you the reality of all the experiences that you can get in real life but at the same time and on the other hand you do not need to worry or get stressed because it creates a risk-free scenario. Another benefit of these games is that you get to choose between games where you can actually see your car from the outside or between one where you can relive the whole experience by watching out of the car from the inside. My personal favourite is the one where you feel like you are totally in control by driving the car and watching out from the inside. This evokes some kind of excitement in me.

The other reason why people choose to buy and play car racing games is because of all the advancements in the graphics. There are games that almost feel life-like when you are playing them and then there are games that are not suppose to be or create a life-like feeling but most of the car racing games comes as close as the real deal.

Kids use them to learn how to drive. I mean what better way can there be then letting your kid play driving games for at least a couple of years before they get into a real car. I’ve been playing Playstation games for many years and that’s where I learned to drive. It was Gran Turismo with my Playstation 1 who taught me how to drive.

All of the above mentioned things are reasons why more and more people choose to buy and play car racing games. They like the fact that more of these car racing games are so real and they want to be part of that real-life experience.

Love to have one of these games? Well, go out and get you one and begin your journey with an almost real life experience of advanced car driving.
